G00D Doujinshi Contest
Yatta!
See? I said I'd be posting something for the contest!

:sigh: I'd lots of things to talk about this work and I don't know how to start.
Let's see...
When I saw the contest proposal I rejoiced because that was an opportunity to draw a doujin from my new dearly Gundam series!
At first, I was thinking to draw Setsuna and his Gundam in a interesting artistic way, but since the idea didn't establish, I abandoned it.
Then, it came to me to draw a minor character from the series and I decided for Saji, who I like a lot! ^^
But the deadline was tight and I would never make it to the time!
Super Ryo-san came and rescue me by expanding the deadline several times! xDD
Now, you can see the result of my arduous battle for making a nice doujin. I'm quite pleased.
I started sketching Saji in a plain piece of paper with no reference for this pose. So that's why his neck may look a little strange... Sorry!
Than when finishing him, I decided to color and subsequently to add Louise in the art too. I used a reference from a Japanese fashion magazine for her pose.
At first, my intention was to only paint their clothes, hair and eyes in a solid way and live their skin plain white as the paper. But I changed my mind and used shading in colouring the skin. I painted both characters with watercolor pencils in plain white A4 paper, got everything together with PSP and added the borders and the polka dots.
Saji is wearing only hot colors and Louise only cold colors intensionally - since Louise is always bright and cheerful and Saji is more calm and pensive, I thought that an inversion would look cool.
The image is supposed to be some sort of picture-frame with the photos of then, like a remembrance from the time they were together.
The title and quotations are from "Oboete imasu ka" song from the classical Macross. I consider it appropriate because they live a bittersweet love story through the series that finishes in such an abrupt way.

Hope you'll liked it!

Good luck to everybody participating at the contest! ^^

(I haven't posted here in a long time, so bear with me...)

Only complaints that I have with this are that the faces look a bit wonky, and Saji's (the one on the right?) head looks as though it were about to pop off at any given moment.

    Otherwise, amazing effort! :)

Wow, what a battle. I like the text on the image, as an observer, you really do feel their gaze on you. the overall pose looks good. I agree with Tauro, Saji's neck and head is a bit awkward. Other than that, your effort came through!

the full-view is soooo much better. >.<
louise's pose is just so cute, and saji's t-shirt is fun XD I agree that Saji's neck seems a bit too long though.
i love watercolor pencils too <33 My only advice to you is to try and give some shading on their clothes.
i'm so happy to see another doujin from you. it's been a long time since I've last seen one ^^

Great poses of the two, i really have the impression that they're looking at me. On the minus side, the boy's neck is too long and thick.
Oh, I almost forgot - love the girl's clothes!
