I had to extract Rei from the original scan, with the gadgets surrounding her. I made a whole new moon, the "atmosphere" surrounding her and the red myst near the moon. I used a city photo as a background at the right side of the walllpaper so it doesnt look so empty. Finally, because there was something missing, I found a way to render the wallpaper with another effect tool so the wallpaper as a whole has a "mysterious" look...It is a little hard to explain it. Just to spice it a little more and at the end, the text...I added some buildings at the right side so the city looks "detailed"...:P

So mysterious, the background alone symbolizes rei's character, and the crimson red theme under the moonlight!
I just love the idea toonleap!
The only minor suggestions I have would be to try and make the city photo alittle more angled, rather than having it just as a straight row of town houses. The city bg just looks very plain as it contrasts the rei scan heavily, seeing as how shes at an angle. I just think it would look more appealing. Another thing is the random floating gadget you have beside rei's left arm, i think you should just take it off.
The overall wall looks really nice. Looking forward to seeing more walls as creative as this from you
