    This is certainly very impressive.
A unique concept, although the design is similar to your previous works, especially the butterflies.
Very well crafted details and beautiful warm colors, a gorgeous piece.
    Great job!
Have you ever considered drawing more boys? They look incredibly good in your style.

  2. gel-chan Jun 05, 2008

Another awesome work. I wonder if you ever draw simple sketches.

  3. norine07 Jun 05, 2008

as usual! your skills are just fab~ =]

  4. twilightofrose Jun 05, 2008

The whole atmosphere doesn't seem so sad, with all the colors... but that doesn't stop it from being marvelous :D Yet another excellent art! I agree with Sakura-Dust, you need to draw more guys!

One look and we know that it's yours. Absolutely flawless! This is my favourite among your pieces, maybe among all of MT's doujinshi! Love the colour scheme, with the peachy tones somehow blending well with the sea greens. And as always, I'm amazed by how the cloth has so much volume to it. It looks almost like high-class fashion, if you get what I mean, with that elaborate headdress and the dress of leaves, lace, feather-like silk and jewels, all kind of exhuming a theme of nature. And the gleaming, jewelled butterflies.. Sugoi! The background design is wonderful, with weaving, curvy patterns, lacy grilles, crystalline 'windows' and those curly 'clouds' that add an oriental touch amid all that style that is reminiscent of the old Italian ages when Art reigned, especially the murals.. There is indeed a melancholy expression on her face.. I wonder what she is so sad about when she has such richness around her?

I wonder if you had to use a lot of masking fluid in this.. :D And gouache? I just read a more in-depth book about watercolour and I realise that the classes I went to didn't quite teach me of all there is to know about it.. Anyway, beautiful piece! A fave is in order..

I hope this gets highlighted. It would definitely deserve it.

The Background is amazing....and I love the Butterflies.....I just love your Pics!^^

  17. Anjhurin Sep 26, 2008

Well, apart from her expression, i don't really see the sadness in the piece, it gives off a spring-like aura i think !
Well anyway, great painting, colors are awesome, and i love the way you use gradient in every single available space :). The butterflies are really amazing.

    Thumbs up :D

PS once again, i'd love to see a real background from you, and not just that overcrowded glittering and masterfully done pile of whatever it is that always stands right behind the character !

  18. MissLi Feb 03, 2009
