This is for simple-ism's minimal-ism project.... if it meets requirements. I hope it does....

Don't take the title wrong people - I am not an alcoholic (still a minor, geez). Also, I have no connections to an alcoholic. The name of the wallpaper is just two random words I put together that I thought could fit the wallpaper.

As for the wallpaper itself, it's probably the most abstract piece I've ever created. It was originally gonna be the girl sitting on a bridge overlooking a city (like the original image), but I ended up making... this. The scan was some sketchy concept art my brother found on Digik. He says it's from Shinobi.... even though I don't see how (never actually played the game myself, but I know how the character looks). For the blue thingy she's sitting on and the pyramid; I drew those myself. The blue thingy is not an elephant, even though it most definitely looks like one. Think of it as one of those strange creatures from a Dr. Suess book. As for the pyramid, that's a rocket ship! Seriously. I once had a dream of a rocket ship shooting a laser from the point, so I included it in this (because it seemed so dreamy after putting in the elephant. The reason why I made the girl have no face is because when you usually dream about someone you've never met, they have no face. Sometimes you can make a face up, or borrow someone else's, but this isn't always the case. For the color scheme - you either love it or hate it. I personally think it looks freakin' weird, which is good, because the wallpaper is equally weird. I finished it up with some textures an whatnot. I didn't add any text, because I don't like text. As for the signature bar thingy, not everyone likes those, so ehhhh, whatever.

Anyway, I hope this qualifies for minimal-ism.
Enjoy, Minna. :B

That is indeed very abstract..... I love it though! Especially since she doesn't have a face. Makes it all look awkward and kind of simplistic. Super cool! Thanks for sharing. +fav

Not a huge fan of the texture - it just makes the wall look extra pixelated and slightly low quality when it's clearly not. Apart from that, this has got some pretty interesting elements... I think the color scheme works :]

Will update the project page later today or possibly this weekend with your entry... keep eyes peeled ^^

Lol the flying pyramid reminds me of stargate.
Anyways, very neat vector and personally I like the colours. I think I agree with flyindreams on the texture though, maybe turn the opacity down a little?
That eye-mountain, elephant thing is cute. XD

Wow! Nice! Really creative and simple :)
But then I got to agree that the texture is kinda heavy... I like textures but then maybe this texture is to much?
Other than that, I find this wallpaper really cool~ :D

Interesting :) The only thing that bothers me is that grungy texture. For a dream like look, you should've used less of grunge and more soft/blurred kind of look. Unless you were going for a nightmare kind of feel. A combination of soft look and grunge textures would be nice.

Overall, I think you did a good job. Keep it up ^^

great! :)

this is by far i think one of my favorite wall of yours. the colors and the textures match the shinobi VERY well. the whole effect is gorgeous not to mention flawless. i think you have such a great mastery of textures and patterns.

and i think the grunge is good, it also makes it look kinda i dont know, more like japanese wood blocking or something. maybe thats just me --"
