First I got to say that I'm sorry... -_- This was suppose to be my "indoor" entry for 
's contest but I didn't realize that it was outdoor until when the wallpaper was almost done
-_- I feel like strangling myself... = =

Oh yea... There are somethings I need to say about this wallpaper... ^_^'
1.) I did not vector the character. I render I did not vector! >_<
2.) Scan of Maka is from Megami Magazine Vol.98
2008/07 Soul Eater by atseiS ^_^'
3.) The background is vectored from a scan which could be found in MT, Misc category.
4.) Textures are from DA!, Bats from Google, Blood Brushes from DeviantArt.

The scan of Maka is one of my fav. becoz of her cool pose! XD
Nice vector! great job on the outlines + the sharp coloring :D
the background is cool yet messy becoz i dunno what are those
black wall or tree branches? i suggest you try creepy tree branches
and find some tomb brushes, The red sky fits perfectly on the scene
but i guess the moon is a bit plain...try adding texture or use a gradient
color to make it realistic, the bats fits ok on the bg and the blood splatter
on her chick gives a nice touch up! ;) Overall love the vector!

Hmmm.. I stumbled upon this wall on my quest to find a suitable desktop wallpaper :)
first of all, Soul Eater is one of the highest-priority anime in my list right now, and Maka is my favorite character. She also has that unique voice-over which always makes me go "whazzat?!?" when watching... XDThis wall is very interesting from many points... first is the color composition. It features a dark, bloody theme, and second is the character to the wall itself,.. the spooky background somehow goes well with Maka's clumsy look..
Though I must point out some things which can be improved:
- you added a darkening gradient at the bottom, so it would look better to add a thinner darkening gradient layer on top.. or you may put the gradient behind Maka
- the drop shadow is kinda distracting and makes Maka look detached from the background.. I think you would better off remove it at all to give the wall a more 'whole' impression
- oh and as zaira pointed out, the background is kinda random. It's borderline confusing, while at the same time makes the background a bit messy.. try giving the silhouettes distinct and striking shapes, such as a cathedral, mountains, or dead tree branches, or maybe even tombstones... -
