This wallie is made for the Vector Wallers group contest "Aniwood".
Being a fairly new member and relatively new to vectoring as well, this was the first contest that has come up for me
since joining the group, so, I really wanted to
give it a shot. Not to win but just to have fun in doing something creative with the group to feel I help contributed to
it in some way.
I didn't want to do the obvious popular movies, as I figured there might be too many submission of one or a few movies. With that in mind, I wanted to do something that
someone else may not think of doing, so after long thoughts, and agonizing brain freezes,I finally decided on doing Darker Than Black's, Hei as Neo in the Matrix. (Hence the
title "Heitrix")
I chose a screenshot from the movie ( linked here - http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z51/FMAFTW/6-matrix-you-wont-have-to.jpg) and I didn't want it to completely copy
the movie as it's "The Heitrix" so I didn't give Hei the dark glasses on purpose so that his eyes would show up better in his full "Contract" powers mode. I also chose to go
with blue hues to match the glow from his powers instead of the green hues in the snapshot.
I couldn't make out the full details in the mural painting in the background so, chose something that was similar and, in my opinion, seemed fitting, Michelangelo's "The Last
Judgement", which is painted in the Cistine Chapel. I think it just fit the mood of the scene, though I've been wrong before lol. This is the only thing that wasn't vectored, but I added an artistic effect to try to make it look more in perspective to an animated shot. (I hope).
As you can see the final product is a mixture of Matrix and Darker Than Black combined.
