It's me again and it's Blade of the Immortal again. That picture of Doa was just too pretty to be left alone, so here we go. :D

The image was vectored once more this time without smudging but heavy use of patterns and textures instead. The patterns on Doa's kimono and hakama are indeed the Metal Gear Solid patterns I've been rambling about on my userpage, I adore them. <3
Doa's pose in this scan is just awesome, maybe you notice how the s-shaped symbol is not only present on her clothes and weapon but also in her pose, somehow even in the flow of her coat. Words can't express my love for this scan anymore.
The background was a real hazzle, I just couldn't decide what kind of abstract shapes too use, I was really torn there, should I use smoke, brushes,... :\
In the end I decided to use some flowers from my unfinished vector of this scan plus some more texture and because I'm really untalented in choosing and placing text I simply left that out. The only question that's left to me is how I still manage to come up with calm, drained colours when I start out with a bright, colourful scan and the set intention to do something bright and colouful? It's beyond my comprehension. o_0
Textures and patterns were taken from: DA!, Hybrid-Genesis and Deviantart.

Hope you enjoy, here's the 4:3 version.

I should check this anime, looks cool.
I adore your wallpaper! The vectoring is really nice and smooth. I like how the shadows blend.
XD Another follower of 'if you have no other bg ideas, use flowers'. It always works ^_^b tried it myself :D
You're right about the pose, it's fabulous, I like her tattoo. Too bad it's not too complicated... maybe a texture fill would amplify its effect?
Anyway, the wall is superb, great job!

Simply lovely. The antiqued paper background seems so perfect for any Hiroaki Samura image, but here it adds a touch of grace, softness & femininity to an otherwise deadly figure. Her gaze is elsewhere & cold, but the colours & textures are warming. Beautiful.

The fastest way to my heart is the use of texture, and you have done a magnificent job with this wallpaper. Everything about it shows precise and clear thought, and is executed with excellent quality. And I appreciate that you took the time to mention in your description about the "S" shape (I was actually thinking about that when I full-viewed it!). It would feel like a crime to not favorite it ;)

i agree with lady markjo- my only crit: is the green stroke on the lady there. i think it would be better served without.

any chance of a link to this beautiful wall w/o the green stroke- lady Erdbeermilch.
