This is one of my practice pics for working (learning to work) in Photoshop
CS3.
The drawing is just no.2 pencil. Most of the work was in PS--about five hours
over a week's time.
I have many incarnations of this drawing but this one is my favorite.

Woah... the mood that the colour scheme creates is a nice touch. Keep it up!
It still has a very raw feeling, but your style is growing in confidence. Nice touches of shading, with wide open blank spaces to compliment the areas that are full of detail. Well balanced, and very visually appealing.
