Instead of a book with words, it's a book with an illustration :D

I have a lot going on in the next couple of weeks so I wanted to finish this before then. I have my birthday on the 12th and then my friends birthday on the 9th so we're preparing to celebrate ours together. It's going to be so much fun, but a lot of planning ^_^' After that, we plan to go to Sakura Con on the 28th which is going to be amazing, I can hardly wait!

Anyway, back to the drawing! It tells the story of a boy who lost his love one to another person. In the drawing, the boy is holding his loves hand, but someone else is taking her heart away. No idea what drives me to create these sad drawings T_T It was originally going to be monochromatic, but I just had to use color. I don't know if it was the right choice, but I like the final product.

Also, if anyone is interested, here's what my digital paintings look like. This is for my class project which I'm almost done with. I never submit these so I thought I'd post one of em xD

Another original and creative work by chubbykitty, this one is bursting with colour and detail; Neat drawing combined with good use of gradients and textures, what's not to love! And good luck on your digital painting, it looks great so far ^_^

a really ad concept but then the sad thing sometimes come up as the most beautiful scenes.
i think a mono wouldn't have the same impact as the colrs so i think you had a perfect choice
(even though a red mono would be intersting in my view)
    congrats!

    (i loved the eagle >.<)

Beautiful illustration. I'm doing Illustration this year too but I doubt it's going to be as interesting and exciting as your course does it. :(

But putting that aside, I love this work. This picture is just too... sad. And I'm already feeling sad inside so I think this is my best friend. >.<

Love the colour scheme, and also the wise use of texture. *thumbs*

I'm always interesting in reading your concepts more than just watching the piece, this time the combination of both is awesome...and well I cant imagine for some reason this on monochromatic, but it sure looks good with color.
