part 1 of a bunch of wallpapers i'll be making of this series for a friend. just so we are all clear, akito and agito are male and they are two personalities within the same body. as well, those stripes flying from their pant legs actually have hooks attached -- they are agito's weapons during battles.
i vectored this image of them from a black and white manga scan, colored them, and gave the whole thing some lighting effects (this you can't tell without comparing the before and after). i know that the colors of their clothes are not what they are in some colored scans, but i chose them to fit the wall. note that the main text is incomplete. it should say "our fragile coexistence". (because agito initially thinks that his presence is what's hurting akito and that they can't go on sharing the same body.)
i suppose there should be a little more background info to help explain the wall. the gears (individually vectored by me) aren't there because it's "air gear". i was thinking about gears in terms of time and the AT mechanism (AT or air trek is those "roller blades"). akito/agito being so carefree happens once in a blue moon, so the stopped gears show that time is frozen, allowing us to see this rare instant. they are also storm riders (aka AT users), so the gears (AT) are their way of life, practically. having those crumble into dust is like... "OMG! D: NO!" i did put some clock stuff in there with the texture (credit goes to tama and her DA! site), but that's faint since clocks are more of a sano thing than an akito/agito thing.
i dunno how clear i am in setting up the context for the wall, but if you want to know more...caution: don't read/watch air gear if you dislike ecchi. just passing on the warning from my friend when i got this walling request.
