For Mai-chan's Wintry Wonderland contest.
This is MT's unnamed Mascot, remember her? :) I switched her normal boots with new Ugg boots :)
I've always wanted to draw a fanart of the Mascot (whom I like to think is Mai-chan =P ). I had this idea in my head, but just started working on it at the last minute (yay procrastination? XD)
I suck at proportions and anatomy DX I did take a photo of myself to use as reference, but I don't have anime proportions XD
Random background 'cause I can't think of anything... decided at the last minute to add in that plate of candy canes, which took waaaay longer than it should have >__<

Seriously there aren't real people with anime proportions, it's impossible (how often I thought of this when watching Evangelion *lol*), using normal people as a reference is a healthy approach in my opinion. I think she looks just fine and I also like your choice of colours. Most of the time I'm not into the painted stuff on MT (it's painted isn't it?), but your work is one of the few I like or rather I think look actually good.
However I think it looks odd how her ears are supposed to be slightly visible under her hair (makes me think of transparent hair), but that's just personal taste I guess, it's done quite often in anime and manga (for example with eyes and eyebrows >.<).Go ugg boots >o< and good luck for the contest.

Nice job with the design. She's cute <3 It might have been nicer with a slightly darker & sharper outlines, but it's still quite nicely done :) -
It looks nice with all the warm colours and her lovely expression. And the plate looks so round, did you use vector tool for that? Anyway, love the painting with not-so-neat style. Good luck!

I think your proportions work for the picture (I also think of taking pictures of myself - it's hard to find good models X-P) and I really like the way you colored it in. Did you use a tablet?

Ahah, nice work on our Mascot ^_^. Your lines are a bit sketchy, but the coloring and shading are pretty good, as well as the proportions (Maple is the mascot now, since you used yourself as reference !).
Anyway, definitely a nice scene, i love it.Thumbs up :D
PS maybe her lips are a bit off (it looks like she has pink lipstick, which really doesn't match the mood ^_^')... just a detail...
