Okay, saw first saw this amazing image when I was playing this visual novel (kinda yuri'ish) on the PS2. Thought it would make a good wallie, but turned out it's only in 640x480 =/. I then thought man maybe if I could vector it that would be good... and so I went to pick up vectoring, and vectored this image.
Original image (640x480):

Took a total of 6 days of work, slowness mostly due to my inexperience
.
The process for those who are interested (each image transition is about a day
of work):

Stats:
Layer: 90+ (most of them are colour layers)
Most tedious/annoying part to vector: Kimono butterfly outlines (grr...)
Hardest part to vector: The eye... yes the eye, took me 2 hours to get the first
eye right...
My favourite part of the vector: The extended sleeves of the kimono...
My least favourite part of the vector: The hair.. also probably because it's the
part I first coloured, so it's probably not too good...

Hey hey, welcome to MT! ^_^
Her mouth looks a bit strange (or is it only me?), but other than that, all I can say is : Wow!
Looking forward to see more from you!
new great vector/waller is on MT ^^ welcome.
BTW this wall is excellent. love outlines (I'm colored lines fan)
what game is this?
It's GREAT! Loved your wallie
I like it very much.
Great Wall, very well made^^
Welcome to MT!
Wow, what a great first submission, it's totally cool.
I love the blueish tone of the whole thing.
Hope to see more of you
I usually use animepaper, only browses MT once in a while for a scan or two.... but this place seems to have much more people.
As for the character, she's called Yumei from Akai Ito, a PS2 yuri'ish visual novel (http://www.success-corp.co.jp/software/ps2/akaiito/index.html)
I actually cannot find anything at fault with this wallpaper. There can be different background styles to highlight the character by shining the outline behind the character
saw this in AP and DL it there
love
those glowy styles of them
just love the image you use! love also on how you vector it!
great colors + the butterflies effects
this goes to my fav!
btw welcome to MT! enjoy your stay here with us!

Wow, very nice
This pic is beautiful i like it so much!
her face, her pose, everything is beautiful
awesome image!

though the vector is jagged, my advice is to merge all the layers before resizing it the vector to smaller size
then u get sharp+soft in one
anyway, u did a very good job ^^
it's so beautiful n.n!
it's very nice! -^^-
