I must admit this is a new magical girl series I've gotten myself addicted to ^^ The characters are so cute and the story really goes fast in the manga (fast in a good way).
The character here is Amulet Spade, the artistic personality of the main character, so I tried to make an artsy type background with a feeling of brushstrokes and text (to represent poetry and literature). Not sure why I went with a floral brush on this but it seemed to coordinate well ^^; I know the colors are pale but I figured pastels would work better with the character rather than something bold.

Very cool! The background has some nice layering of effects, so even though it looks very soft, I think it's suitable for this kind of character!
I love Shugo Chara, Amulet Spade is awesome! Are you going to make more Shugo Chara walls? If so, I look forward to it ^_^
