Yay, my first ink drawing / sketch.
Fellow Pinoys will recognize this as Jedd (the clue: necklace), one of the
mainstays in One Day Isang Diwa (a Culture Crash series). I miss that comic
magazine.
Outlines by pencil, and fleshed out by ballpoint pen.
Critiques and comments greatly appreciated. This is my first ink sketch, so I
have lots to improve.:sweatdrop: I had fun sketching in ink, there's an
immediacy/vibrancy in this medium that isn't present in pencils. There is
sureness in every stroke -- it is indelible, the artist has only one chance to
get it right. For example, Jedd's right leg seems off, but I can't correct it
much.
And clothing folds hate me.

Who cares if it's not perfect. I remember my first ink art ... it was a desaster ><
But I'll still fave yours ;P From one ink artist to another.
Ohh... the messiness is just cool. Nice work with the shading, it's probably the complicated part of the drawing. Though the background seems empty, it could have been better with something, even just clouds.
Great work on this. I love the whole scene and feeling. For your first ink sketch, I think it looks fabulous. Keep it up!
Stick to this "immediacy/vibrancy in this medium that isn't present in pencils".
And fav.
