New Years Gift Series Part 1/3 - Night of the Festival
Happy New Year to Omone, entity1660, and
saki-xan! My end-of-year gift to three of my best friends here 
I truly
wish all three of you a happy, stress-free new year. Don't let one minute go to
waste; make every moment count. This past year, I wasted a lot of time and let a
lot of great opportunities pass me by. I hope that you're all able to do better
than I did in 2008. <3 Don't worry, my other friends, remember this is one of
three 
Okay, the vector. Well I finished this a while ago so I don't have a long rant this time. At a lot of points I wanted to give up on this vector since I'm lazy, but I'm happy with the result. I really tried to make a good-quality vector and I paid attention to every detail.
The kimonos were a bit of a pain. Setsuna's was the most straight-forward but took the longest. Kotonoha's was the most annoying with all those weird orange things. And Sekai's was the hardest since each butterfly had to be done seperately, with blurring and smudging involved.
There's a gradient on almost every layer and I used patterns for their sashes.
Hardest part: Sekai's butterflies
Easiest part: Main colouring
Most fun part: The eyes! I really loved how they turned out, especially
Setsuna's.
Cheating (yes, cheating): I used stroke-path for some of the outlines on the
kimonos (like the flowers on Setsuna's).

LOL, I don't think it matters if you used the stroke path intstead of the fill path. It looks amazing ^^

IMHO: Is it just me or is the fingers of Kotonoha looking slightly fat?
