Woo, I'm finally done with this vector. Tried to finish it before Christmas, but
PangYa proved to be too great a distraction. 
This is my first attempt at deviating from the original colours in the scan (I just didn't like them so much), and blue is just a random colour I picked. I like blue anyway. Though I don't think this turned out as well as I'd have liked, and I won't try this again in such a hurry.
As for the vectoring, the fur parts were not difficult, but were really tedious
to do, and I was glad to have done with it. Another part I didn't enjoy so much
was her skirt, with its irregular edges and swirls and stripes. The outlines
were painful to do. And you can tell I can't draw a proper circle with the Paths
tool. 
Just look at the beads. I used purple and gold for the flowers on her left,
since an entire vector consisting of nothing but blue seemed kind of boring. I
used those colours for the bouquet holder she has for the same reason.
(I've checked this a couple of times, but still, I sure hope I didn't make any
colouring mistakes, what with the Edit button gone.)

remember, paths + shapes = always bad
if u still want to mix them, blur the shapes and then merge them with paths
plus id add more saturation to the colours, especially to the blues
other than that u did a good job

While I did like the pink dress she originally wore - I think yours works better because it's less pink (since her hair is already pink ^.^).
