Song Illustration #8: Princess Tutu - Once upon a December (by Aaliyah)
So I lied. I neglected the so-called "walling break" and made a new
Princess Tutu wallpaper. I don't remember where I found the screenshot, I was
browsing the Internet for a beautiful image of Tutu and came across several
ones. This is the one I liked most, as you can see
Original
image
Anyway, I smudged the shadows on her clothes and hair fluff a bit, to make her
blend in better. And aren't her "wings" cute? They were part of her
costume, but I smudged them a lot and (hopefully) made them look like fluffy
wings
At first I had a bluish version, but then I left it more orange-y.
And because a lot of people complained that the lines on the previous wallpaper
were too thin (1 px), I used 2 px here. And a few 1 px ones, on the necklace and
face details. Oh, and that nose is made by me, the original one was just a stain
Story & "mythology"
Left side: the choices she had - to live a normal life, as a duck (bottom
circle) or to risk everything (upper circle). Of course, she chooses the
"upper circle" version (you know the story) and so becomes...superior,
a legend, you can say
Hence the right part. The curls? I drew them by hand. All of them. On a lot of
notebooks, then scanned them all, edited them a bit and left them edgy, grainy
and grungy on purpose. I vectored the outline of the Tutu on the right from this
scan.
And I guess that's about it. I'm too sleepy and lazy to count all those layers and shapes, but the PSD file has 72 MB. The patterns I used are from Ming Ling and some textures and the snow brushes I used are from Yana-stock.

Excelent job, sweetie!
Aah, I know this part! It's from her transformation sequence, or is it from the OP? Anyway~ xDD

I liked the way you did her yellow thing at the back, as if it was flowing or burning~ and hair fluff, lol, that's funny for some reason~
I liked how you made her eyelashes, like it's made of color burn~ but the one in the left is a bit weird~
Cool crazy patterns in the back~ I liked the green too~
Good job, pande-san! And don't worry about breaking wall-breaks, we aren't offended at all by that. >u<
Wow ! How cute~!
