This is dedicated to my best friend, Aziza. <3 She's one of the most awesome people and I'd do anything for her. Right now she's in Jordan and I miss her very much!

Why is she so awesome? Well, other than drawing really cool artwork, she's one of the few people I'm able to talk to about anything. She was there for me (along with Gene) after my brother was in a car accident and every time I've really just needed to talk and be goofy. She's just a good soul with a beautiful heart and mind. <3

About the wall:

This wall wasn't very hard to put together. The hardest and longest part was the extraction. Why? Because there were some parts where the border line disappeared and the colors blended with the white of the BG. o_O;; But I got through it. I will admit that I procrastinated on doing it and played a bunch of Diablo II. XD I named an Assassin Reaper Squirrel. *giggles* Of course it's in a different languages, but it's amusing all the same. XD

The BG is comprised of a base color layer and a couple of textures. A grunge one from Aethereality and a warm colors one from Celestial Star. Happy

To make the girl appear as if she was fading into the BG, I merged the two layers I had for her, then applied a layer mask+gradient. I think the effect turned out really cool and may use it again in the future. I know it's just a simple blending technique, but sometimes the simple things are best. Happy

I like this because it seems like you put a bunch of effort into it. However, when working with a scan like this, you need to use more than a blurring method for cleaning it, as the noise is still clearly apparent. If you painted around the edges and on the scan as a whole, then I'm sure it would turn out a lot nicer. You should check out some of Paint-o-rama's tutorials and what not, they have a few on there that could possibly help you out. Adding more to the background, particularly on the right side, could also help balance the wallpaper out. Good luck if you plan on continuing to work with this in the future. ;)

    Nice wallie indeed!
Good work with the bg, loved the vector too actually :)
Wonder if you plan any other resolutions, would be nice.
Anyway, keep up the good work!
