OK I didnâ??t just throw this together. Iâ??ve really been thinking about this design for some months. Then a person named Pillow Talk from DA saw my work and asked if I would be interested in a contest just for this. So you might say she was a kick in the butt to get on with it. So thank you to her!
Since I know people are going to ask here is how I came up with this design. As most if not all of us know Hisagi is pretty much a pacifist. The guy just put out there he prefers not to fight. So the power of his shikai is a kind of very cool â??stun gunâ?? of sorts. Like Renjiâ??s, Hisagiâ??s shikai chain can expand to a large degree, it is attached to the lower arm band section at one end and the other is attached to what was the hilt of his Zanpakutou. The sword has now become something akin to a sword/short spear which can be thrown or used as a sword. When thrown he can to a large degree control the trajectory as well as the extension of the chain which allows him to have the Zanpakutou return to his hand. When it hits his target he can send a jolt of his spirit energy up through the chain. Depending on the amount he lets loose he can incapacitate, seriously wound or kill.
The look of it comes from his look. You see quite a change in his look between the time he is supervising Renji, Kira and Momo early on. I simply went with him matching his look later to his Shikai.
I have not thought about his release command or his Zanpakutouâ??s name. Please feel free to give me your ideas on that one.
Unless otherwise noted all of my works are drawings or sketches I scan in and
paint in CS. If they are hand done they are almost always mixed media using 3 or
more media.
