A fun, sexy wallpaper of a jazz singer, inspired by some taxi advertising for a
local Jazz/Blues lounge. I thought the original image by Hyung-Tae
Kim was a good fit, and basically flattened out the colors to give it a
stylized, more Art Deco type of feel. I also made the singer bald. I thought the
tall hat was rather silly, and having her bald really allowed me to explore the
curvaceous nature of her form more, letting me emphasize her neck and lips
more.
For some reason, I've always associated the color purple with jazz, so this wall
is purple. Add a bit of deco-styled text, and a very simple layered background
to keep all your focus on the singer, and you have this wall.
Also an entry for
Minimal-ism
project.

Hrm... I've always associated orange with Jazz. hehe.
I really like the bald head. Mmm.
I liked the hat :(
But this is neat as well. Love the colors and the neatness of the vector. Nice job!
I liked the hat too >_<
But she doesn't look bad bald either XD I love how you vectorised Hyung Tae Kim's really smooth artwork. Strong outlines and the colour scheme work well too. Great wall :)
I never noticed how gianormous her hand was until you took away the hat. XD Bald is sexy, and I think the hat would have killed it. Purple's not my favourite colour, but I dig this. (:
Excellent wallpaper! The vector is great and taking away the hat gave the character a totally different feel.
Unusual choice of colour, though I always associated mocca-like colours with jazz.
Wow, some bold choices in this wall. ^_^
I like it very much, the bald look suits her quite well, and in an odd way enhances her femininity [IMHO]. I'm just glad I have my new monitor because I probably wouldn't have been able to make out much of it on my old and not-so-bright one.
