Well, it's actually been a while since I last submitted wallpapers here; so here we go. :)
On my personal note, it always gets me think of winter whenever I see the "December" sheet on calendar. Why I said "think" -- because I actually live in a tropical country, which then rendered me unable to experience the real winter. ^_^'
But well, I always like the atmosphere of the season in particular, especially as it is depicted in movies and animes. And in relation that it's now December, and that I have watched Kanon, and that I have stumbled into this gorgeous scan...
...I can't help but to make another winter-themed wallpaper for this time. xP
OK, OK, let's cut the crap and go straight. When I looked at the scan, I feel that it somehow would make a nice
wall to work on. So I started to work on it -- the first thing, I created the snowy-landscape for the very base of the
wall. I then added some snow piles on it; also created the snowman and the snow-covered penguin doll to enhance the
then-empty BG. Well... if you know whose mittens there are on the snowman, there's a point about it. ;)
The considerable tricky part was about creating the far-BG. I thought that I have to use not only an anime-like styled BG; more importantly, I wanted to use a more "Kanon-esque" touch on it. So there we have the many-branched trees. I tried to bring out the Key's style there, though I don't really know if it's coming close or not. (o_0)
On the scan, I also added some snow piles on Shiori and Kaori's head. Um, it's probably inspired by Shiori's snow clump on the ep. 2 of Kanon 2006, so there you have it. ^^;;
The rest was the finishing touches, though. Played with the lighting, created snowflakes, enhancing the DoF... and there came this wall in the end. ;)

Can make the snow on the ground more depth by enhancing the shadow of it. It looks good nontheless.

LOL love the snow on their head. But lovely wall, I adore Shiori, Kaori, and pretty much everything to do with Kanon :D And I love snow. Great job :)
