Berserk Wallpaper: Moment of Glory

I had submited this one earlier today with a totally different bg but something wasn't right. It looked a bit weird. Some friends of mine saw it and advised me to change completely the bg and so here I am with a wallpaper of Griffith. :P

Chronicles of the wallpaper:
To be honest I wanted to wall this scan for over a year now. The only reason I did it now and not earlier was due to my luck of confidence in the matters of coloring or vectoring. So, after all this timeI decided finally to take my chances.
Steps:
1. Relining the scan.
2. Vectoring it.
3. The difficult part! I was thinking for over a month, maybe even longer, what bg to put to it. At first I decided to try and repaint the original bg, but today changed my mind and made this dark bg using several layers of patterns, flat colors and gradients, and a layer with a blood-brush as well.
4. Naming it. Why have I given this title? Just because I find him pretty glorious being clad like this and standing in the middle of...)I'll let you figure out what is it that he is standing in :P )

As for me:
I always tend to make dark or melancholic wallies... Maybe this is my style after all...
Anyway this is the first piece I am doing using these styles and feedback is realy needed. I always love to read your comments and learn through them, so please comment. :)
