A bit of a change of pace with this wall...
Here we have a tender (?) moment between Seishirou-san and his mother, as he takes her place as Sakurazukamori. Seishirou has always been one of my fav X/Tokyo Babylon characters. The most twisted in a cast of pretty twisted people. ^_^
This scene is from the sidestory in X volume 16.
I scanned in this pic plus another one of Seishirou's mother, [So I could adapt her face a bit to fit this pic, because
she had her eyes closed in this one] vectored the outlines and then set about colouring/painting everything. The blood
took forever. O_O At least, it felt like forever.
The BG is just a simple gradient plus some a couple different photoshop brushes, and liberal use of the burn and
highlight tools and overlaid layers.
Time - 4 Days
Layers - A lot - but because of my merging habit I'll never know for sure... -_-'

I really like how you pulled off the blood (leave it to me to admire the blood ^_^' ) Despite the awkwardness of this particular scene it still turned into a fabulous wallpaper. The strength of the outline really matches the style of the X1999 manga, too. Very nicely done!

I remember I always found Seishiro's mother very pretty ( then again I don't know any ugly CLAMP characters ), too bad she was killed just a few pages after she had been introduced.*favs*

ooh pretty. I love the soft colours juxtaposed with the dark hair and blood (good job splattering it btw) ^__^ The soft textures of the snow is a nice touch as well :)

aaaargh, CLAMP, um, i mean, seishirou, why are you so twisted?
but gosh, the contrast of pure white snow and crimson blood is just too much to resist
setsuka's hair and kimono are incredibly, um, lengthy
...seishirou has very deep serious psychological problems XD

Okay well all the blood kind of makes me go: @_@ waaah! But seriously I love the background which might sound wierd since it's not that complicated but it fits the main picture so well without taking any of the attention away from it. Great work!
