Finally tried my hand at a Nodame wall. ^_^
I've been working on one particular wall for AGES, or trying to, but I've got total artists block... So every now and
then I take a break from it and try something different. So this is just a quick little wall that I threw together as a
diversion, but I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out.
It's a little bit odd, because I started out with my usual 'pretty, rough and painty' style that I like at the moment, and then decided to try and push myself into trying something a little different halfway through. So Nodame doesn't quite fit the bg... I think it still works though.
The main image comes from this SKETCH which I roughly traced and then painted with my tablet. The font I made myself. XD [Yeah, I have messy handwriting...]

The way you colored the sketch is very interesting ^_^ I loved the background too! Nice choice of colors!

hehe, I like the swirls in the background, how it looks like music is flowing ^__^
I like the sketchy, roughness of the lines, especially in the shading on the violin, it adds to the rhythm :)
For the colouring (like on her clothes), it looks like you have textures, did you actually use textures, or are those brush-strokes? I think you could add some textures or colour variation for the background instead of just a solid colour and make it... rougher, to fit Nodame..

Quite simple, but pretty :)
Albeit, I think this piano pattern together with these waved lines, considering Nodame's lack of violin skills, should be not so clean - the should be rather ravelled, like some WMP visualisation :D -
Humm well it is true that Nodame doesn't blend as well with that style of backgrounds as she could with others, but really I think that fits with the feel of the whole show, don't you think? And I love how you put the bad music notes in tehre (since she can't play viollin at all XD )
