Many, many years when I first knew about this whole world of "anime", I was searching through the net for pictures and everything to help me to draw. And I remember coming across many pictures of Rei Ayanami... of course I didn't know who she was back then, but somehow I just loved how she was portrayed. And now, many, many, MANY years later, when I think I can actually draw something without screwing it up, I've decided that I just HAVE to do a fanart of Rei... ^^ Plus, I've finally just started watching Neon Genesis Evangelion lately... and so, here's this fanart. =)

I might consider drawing Asuka and Shinji... but.. mehh, who knows... I don't like them nearly as much as I like Rei... ><

I LOVED colouring this picture... especially her hair ^_^

media: inking pens, prismacolor pencil crayons, editted slightly in photoshop.

Rei Ayanami, the first child, belongs to the creator(s) of Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Very nicely shaded, as well as colored; I love the way you added your own style to the character. Her neck seems a bit off-center, but that's probably just the shadow of her jaw, or my odd way of regarding. All in all, a very beautiful work of art. Personally, I'd love to see what your vision of Shinji and Asuka look like :).
    Take care,

This is really lovely. The hair is drawn beautifully, great work.
