Well, it's a nice idea to have the blurry background, which gives much attention to the character. Nice drawing, and your colouring is well done.

This is a work I made while I was in the classroom (as most of the times)
Well, that's my character, Mikhail Nakamura.
And he's in a room, looking at a guitar... and there's nothing else to say.
I bluried the background a little to give it the effect of distance. Let me know if it worked out nicely.
Photoshop CS, from scratch, mouse, three hours (I guess).

Ahah i love the kind of Plue (from Groove adventure rave) in the background. Otherwise, nice lines, the character's very well done, and good work on the clothes too. Maybe the guitar's a bit simple though, and you overblurred the left part of the art (especially in the lower section)... but good attempt at giving a 'focus-like' feeling to the piece ;)
