Chiho Saito Mangaka Shoujo Kakumei Utena Series

New wallpaper but this one is a bit special.
It's my first try of vectoring with photoshop (shape method).
Man, this was really hard. I had to learn to use the pen tool the right way but it was worth it.

I took this scan of Utena because I always loved those girls.

I vectored the girls and the roses behind them but I decided later to use only the girls and even them in a cut version. I wanted the wall to implend the feeling of looking at a stage at a theater but I've overworked it a lot. The hole wall was really empty looking so I browsed my Utena scans and found this one:

I vectored the hole border with the roses and merged it with the existing wall.
After that I decided to paint the roses in a dark-red color but to use some shading so the roses look a bit more dimensional. After all this I added a lovely texture which I found at deviantart for the different background, did some merging here, some textures there, uses some effect e voila this is the end of the story.

The title of the wall is a german word which is perfectly descibing the hole wall. The word "Schattenspiele" in english is "Shadow Play" which is shown at the wall. This is the only title which came in my mind before the wall was finished. I usally have hard times by chosing the titles of my walls.
