Song Illustration # 5: Carnelian - Forever After (by Paradise Lost)
Please full view to see the details, the thumbnail doesn't do it justice.
This is my entry for the SERENE contest of the carnelian-sworld group.
How it all began...
The song: well, I was downloading a pack of songs, and this sounded like a good title, so I downloaded this one as well. I hadn't listened to it before, but when I did I loved it. It has a certain amount of power resembling the one found in Catholic songs (I like the creepy atmosphere XD)

The image: was vectored by me from a scan I found on Moe Imouto, if I remember correctly. I had a totally different idea in the beginning - I was going to choose Deja Vu - I can't stop to illustrate the idea, but I gave up since I got another one. It was going to be starry, but it isn't any more X-P Maybe the next one will be.

Elements and history
The frame: this should be looked at from upper right - lower right, upper left - lower left. The upper right frame represents the Sun, the lower one a drop falling on a dry tree. Meaning the Sun helps with the process of transforming water from the ground into rain, thus supporting life :) The upper left part depicts the Moon, with a spider web (the night viewed as mysterious) and some birds (no, they're not bats). The lower left panel represents a flower (the metaphor I used on this one has its roots in Moonlight Lady - the tree with flowers that unleashed the feelings of lust in anyone laying their eyes on them). The flowers are also from a Moonlight Lady scan.

Position of the Moon and Sun: in the original scan I used, the Moon was behind the black haired girl, and in front of the blond girl there were branches with cherry flowers. I didn't add those, since I replaced them with the other flowers. Anyway, the blond haired girl is looking towards the black haired one and at the Sun, while the other girl is bowing to the Moon, while holding the blond girl in her arms.

Very cool!
The colors look great and your vector is awesome. My only complaint is that the texture looks a bit strange on the characters. But other than that, great job!

Beautiful wall! I like it! Very good job.

very good wall. love it.

Wow what an incredible piece of art you made pandemonium91 ^_^! I love the perspective, the textures, etc. I think that the effects and message are well blended, maden and delivered and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making such a perfect wallpaper.

Definetly a favorite ^_^.

It has a stain glass look it. Like a beautiful picture engraved onto it. The frames are really pretty and so is the couple. XD

The drawing on the borders going on top of them was such an orignal and bold move, Pande-san! XD
I liked it a lot, so much like those... hum, windows, on churchs... I forgot the name in english~ XD
The moon and the sun are so well-done, and there's such a complex story behind them too~ >w<
Great work! ^_~
