I think I'm starting to get the hang of digital painting lately ^_^ The guy is my creation, while the girl is the original character or my cousin morilinde. They're characters we've been using for fanfiction, and I just really wanted to draw the two of them together.
The people were hand-drawn by myself, them scanned on to my laptop where I painted them. Their outfits are both painted and made up of origami paper (I love that stuff, can't you tell?) and oriental fabrics. The lanterns are also a mixture of stock photo and painted lanterns. The overall idea for this piece was supposed represent the title: a dream. It also plays of opposite: light and dark; water and fire; warm tones and cool tones... Overall I really like how it turned out. ^_^

Wow! That's cool and awesome. I like the technique you used to make the guy look aggressive and evil by drawing the tattoos from his neck to his face. He really resemble like THE EVIL one with the satanic mask he is holding. As for the girl, she looks beautiful with the soft colour blue and white you used on her.It resembles purity and the LIGHT one.Lastly, nice outfits. THough I which I could use digital colouring. I don't know how?
