When I first saw this picture of Suu, I was just stunned by its pure beauty! Althought it's the cover of an H-Clover doujin, the drawing is very accurate to Clamp's style with good points added to it (i.e. the boobs xD.. yeah if Clamp would draw more feminine forms to their female characters, it'd be all the better). But what is remarquable it's that there is nothing gross in the drawing.
I tried to make a simple scenery matching the atmosphere of the serie. Suu is a character who has been held in captivity since she was born, just like a bird. So what if she had to reborn in freedom? I tried to express a lot of feelings through this wallpaper, I hope you'll be able to understand them. n_n
The scan wasn't top-quality so I tried to cheat with lights as much as I could. :P I tried to keep in mind the depth of field with the snow and the grass so that they don't appear randomly placed.

you got it amazingly good, really nice effects and all, as you said, you kept the atmosphere.
Great work. the only thing i would add would be a bit of color, it looks too white, may be introducing some light colors it would give it more depth.

You did a great job on color adjustment and editing and the way you placed the snow dots is really brilliant ^^
The grass brush looks a bit strange here and there (just pasted on, not like it was growing out of the ground), but I like how the grass is less focused in the foreground.
It's all in all a very beautiful design!
