This is properly one of the toughest Tengen wallpaper i worked on. At first i took the scan of Simon. Used countless filters to clean him up. Then spent a long process to vector and adjust the color levels various times to give him the glow effect. Added a little bit of smoke in the background along with some lens flare and grainy effect.
Then tune up the colors to make Simon blend into the background. To give him that kind of determination cool leader look into space. Like in the anime. I'm please with the results. Simon is one of my favorite characters. More Tengen wallpapers coming soon. :)

I really like the colors and the space background he has. It makes his cape come alive with the burning spirit of the Gurren Brigade.
But... no offense... isn't the cape actually missing a whole piece on the rightmost side? The flames are just sort of floating in midair, and it is a little distracting. Sorry! Just constructive criticism. :x
