I just downloaded a free trial of PSP 11 and made this wallpaper with it...and see, I'm a PS user. Has been for 3 years, so PSP is new to me. But I think I did an okay job.
What sucked was that there wasn't any selective coloring in PSPX, so I had to color the background a different way. I think the biggest thing for me to learn was how to use the text tool. I had to rewrite my text 3 times before I finally got it right. OX
Everything else was pretty much the same, except some of the stuff in PS was located differently in PSP. Ugh. I'm pretty much out of my comfort zone in more ways than just PSP, normally I would create something simple and clean for the background, but I tried to go crazy on this one.
I think I did okay, I like it. I like the colors, the textures, the title...everything's okay for my first time.
