Song Illustration Number 2: Sailor Moon - Life is a flower (by Ace of Base)
I had no idea I was going to vector this
I just took a look at my Sailor Moon scans folder and came across this one
and I knew I had to vector it. After that I took a look through the gallery and
there are barely a few SM vectors, and none of Princess Serenity.
I changed the colors a lot from the original scan, the bow on the back of the
dress looks dark red instead of dark pink. Same goes with the dress >.>
But I like it that way, I was aiming for a higher contrast. I just noticed most
of my vectors have a lot of pink in them!
The original dimensions were 3500 x 4100. I might upload the bigger version on
AP and post a link here soon
Details
Size of PSD file: 115 MB (biggest vector of mine until now @_@)
# of layers: 20+
Scan I used: here

i like it very much thx for sharing
i took a closer look and i noticed that it's a little wobbly....
i wanna give u some GOOD advices/lessons that i learnt making my vectors:
1. when u do the outlines with the pen tool, don't stop the line when u can "touch" the other one! stop only when u crossed the other line. then u press stroke path. u see that the line is coming out. u take the eraser 5 and erase it!
2. when u want to colour ur vector (when all the outlines are done) u selct the area thatu want to color. then u go to selction>modify>expand and write 2 px. and then u select ur colour aas a background colour and then press ctrl+backspace (but remember - it must be another layer, under the outlines)
and 3. when u click stroke path it gives u a line with round ends (so they look like a sausages in the full view) so then u delete the path and take the eraser 5 (opacticy 100 of course) and slowly make the ends sharp!
hope it will help you
I liked the color changing at her dress~

Even though I'm a fan of the normal white one, this pink looks so pretty~ >w<
Don't be afraid of embracing the pink side, pande-san~ join us!~
Great vectoring work, as always~ >u<
So very beautiful. Serena is my favorite. I love it. It is awesome. Hope you do more.
Proncess Serenity looks absolutely great here. Great choice for vectoring!

Princess
Yay more Smoon! It's a shame, that because it was a show that was shown so long ago that not many people would vector it, compared to some of the other shows that are out there.
Lovely work pandemonium91! We need some more Sailor Moon vectors
