Yatta! Finally done this wall! 
Alright, I've been getting thrilled in doing this wall within the last three
days; or, more exactly, since right after my last submission here got
quarantained (due to my fault, though; I was filter-whoring 
). But
well, that's in the past -- now it's time to go forward with life. 
(actually, my spirit was sort of fueled to work because of that, though; but that's another story for this time) :P
Ahem, here's the description.
The scan was taken from here in MT, uploaded by saikusa. It was a pretty scan to begin with, so there I go with this wall.
The first thing I did was doing the extension of the scan, covering on the leftward part of it. So I made it as if the chara was sitting atop the tree, while adding more leaves-and-flowers around her. The rest was creating it all to blend together -- thus consisting the foreground part.
I then made the background; adding blurriness to give an impression of distant sceneries. Played with the lighting a bit to make up with the skies, though -- which then resulted the twilight-like atmosphere. After all were done, I did some tweaking to yield the more vivid-lighting, which was done using few additional layers.
In the end, I modified the frame that was there on the original scan, and took
the base to be used in 'framing' this wallpaper. This somehow gives off an aura
of antique painting; an aspect which I like very much from this wall.
Software: Adobe Photoshop CS2,
Layers used: 42 in the main PSD, 12 in
the finishing; 54 layers in total,
Working time: spanned in 3 days, around
15-17 hours I think.

0.0. Wow. It looks really beautiful. The left side u created looks awesome. I like how u make the background. Wonderful job. ^^
The extension of flowers is very pretty,, but then you have a blank blurry background. You open up the left-hand side to a blank piece of canvas with no object to focus on and no originality. By opening it up, you've created a floral border with nothing to frame.

It's very nicely done, and the scan is pretty. But it is a bit too much going on (ie: the flowers) for a desktop wallpaper. Still very good job V^^
