Artist Comment

i can tell that only 2 people (if im lucky) in thewhole minitokyo community will view, comment or fave this(actually i expect zero faves from this one) :) :)

doesnt matter, this is for those 2 people who are nice enough to notice an underdog like me. i am aware that i suck...perhaps that's why i get very low response from people...

i've been chatting with some comic artists lately and i've shown them some of my art--as expected, i got bad reviews...sucks to be medoicre and untalented...

:pacman: :pacman:
before i forget, thanks to angelgirlz, KOKUJINDESU, and kawaii-chicken for not thinking that my last submission sucked. i am unworthy of their attention but they noticed anyway. thanks! :D

Mediocre and untalented? Well those artists are obviously WANKS, if you ask me. This' close to professional, you see. Way better than the works of many of those losers who have managed to publish a comic because they're rich. Great outlining, great balance, great control of light and dark tones. Amazing, I say! I'll go and check the rest of your art!

Good job! Keep at it! There's real talent there.

You've got a good style that seems to be a mixture of US comics & manga.Nice striking use of B&W, and nice designs. Keep up the good work :)

art really good, clean but I have to admit that people who are talking idiotic in comment like "I'm the worst, it's crap, I'm awful" annoys me to no end. it's immature and just stupid.

Awwwww...... You're not bad XD It's awesome! Have more confidence in yourself okay? :]

Aw, yoshimitsu chin up! Sorry I wasn't able to get around to commenting on your last piece... I had enough time to add it to the Elite Gallery, but then had to leave for work. ^_^' Have some confidence in yourself and your skills. I know at least a good portion of the MT community would love to have half your talent. This is another nice clean piece. The background is nicely done, as are the character designs. You do wonderful work with monochrome... just watch out for the bottom-most character... the inking of his shirt could be a little smoother. But overall, keep up the great work! Look forward to seeing your next piece! :D

Pessimistic... You're quite talented! Just look at the other's comments!

Stop complaing about things that are not true. Up to date you have eight comments and nine favorites so the thing with just two people noticing your works is exaggerated.
Just like firefly said: Have confidence in your skills and continue to yearn for improvement. Maybe soon you will be the one who can give people bad reviews just like the comic guy did ;-)

I always peep in on your work Yoshimitsu :P And while I know where you're coming from and I see exactly what you see, you're still a great deal better than the average person. Plenty of people appreciate average artwork. And when doing a comic it's the combination of story and art that is key. A great story will be followed well, even with 'mediocre' art and poor stories will be followed with awesome art. Having a decent story and decent art will be enough to make people look.

But yeah, I'm in the same boat as you, above average, but below professional... though you are certainly closer to professional with those inking and background abilities... I don't know about how American comics work (I read too much manga and their 'days of mangaka lives' bits...) but I can so see you being able to get a job under a bigger artist. If you work on it, you might even be able to get clean-up artist in an animation production. You're closer than most of us, you just have to work on it!

    *envies your skill at details*

Awesome character designs, along with the clothing. Saikusa is right, you have a nice mixture of style in here.

Hum, i love the bacground here, it's really well done, and the way you use long strokes to shade the buildings ... nicely done, though it is a bit cramped ^_^'.
About the characters, the lineart is good, but i think they lack some shading on the clothes and faces, plus some more detailed hair (except for the dark haired guy !). Nice outfits and accessories though. One thing i'm not too sure about is the use of black paint, because i don't feel it's 'black' enough, it's not shiny and deep enough if you see what i mean (plus the paint strokes are too visible).

Good job, and ought to be colored :D
