The first of my Which?Waller Round 3 'Commercial Sellout' walls. Wasn't sure whether to submit them or not, but I put a lot of work into them so I might as well. ^_^
I'd got together a list of advertising slogans that looked promising, and the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the 'think small' VW campaign was Ed-kun. So mean of me to do that to the poor little fella... kehehehe.
I vectored Ed from a scan I had on my HD but, I can't work out where I got it. [There is a another version HERE in MT - uploaded by Tama-neko] The photograph in the bottom right corner is based on the scan submitted HERE by KiyokoInyotef. The pic of the VW bugs in the background was googled, as was the newspaper in the upper-right corner.
After that I used my new tablet [I don't care that I couldn't really afford it, I love my tablet! ^_^ ] to paint the magnifying glass from a photo I found on google. And to make the page crease and shadow effects, as well as roughing up the bottom of Ed's pic to look more like it was a newspaper print. The most challenging part of this wall was getting the magnifying glass to look like it really WAS magnifying Ed.
To finish everything off I just had to mess about with filters, overlays, saturation and textures to get the paper and print effect I like so much. :D

I absolutely love this when I saw it, love the humour, poor Edo XD (I know how he feels though, 'cause I'm tiny myself) Nice choice of expression on him, and I think you did a great job with the magnifying glass, looks seamlesss ^__^ (wow you painted it? I thought it was a stock image. I like the newspaper look too, very convincing.
