My fav of the year - Doll Cage.
The thing is, every year I get this huge inspiration burst, and somehow end up with something I'm really proud of.
This illustration was brought on my a oneshot manga about a wealthy brothel...it was called Doll Garden and it was very
pretty...and sad.
I would have loved to have drawn a bird cage pattern as the background, except I don't know how, so until I research a bit, I suppose this is the finished work.
Drawn with pencil, finelined with a 0.3 black pen.

I appreciate how much fine detail you've placed into this and the actual scene is something I'm kinda interested in.
Though I must point out some minor things that could give this a little pop like facial expression and posture. Also a little bit of shading here and there and you've got something goin' on...
