Here is my work for the challenge VA vs. EVI.

Original scan is from Victorian Romance Emma manga, a bw scan...it was really really hard to coloring it and make the lines... I worked 6-7 day just on my couple... I really like it, when I first saw it in the manga (the scan is showing so much feeling). I vectored it, emma's hair was hard, but I like the result. Here is my line-art and final (vector, texture and paint work):

The bg I wanted to have a door, but I didn't liked the result, so I changed my idea for a window with a curtain (both vector) and I put a texture over the curtain. Now it seen like a heavy brocade curtain :) Behind the window I used tree brush's and maked the snow and the window effect.

Thank for my team for the help and for the support! :)

Hmm, this is a vector... (o_0)

Well, you did great with the artlines. Though, I'd suggest more lighting effects. It can enhance the mood very well, and bring the couple more to the focus. ;)

GASP! I loooove this manga and the story (I'm a fan of victorian novels and mangas XD ). I know how hard it must have been to create that colored scene from the original one (I love the dress Emma was wearing at the ball that night, when she enters the ballroom and all the ton looked at her with surprise), you made a great job, and you painted that scene without drawing the attraction from the main subject... the passion and the love between the characters.

Thanks for creating this lovely wallpaper ^__^.

Anyway I'm babbling. What matters is that this wallie is really cute and sweet ^^ I think you did a great job with the window too. I believe it's better than the door :) Great job Nona!
