I meant to draw Riku (Kingdom Hearts) but other than the hair, there's no resemblance whatsoever. I drew on a piece of paper and took a picture of it, but the lighting in my room is bad so I ended up vectorize it. My first time doing vector of any kind...took me two hours *sweat* Shading is my problem, especially on the hair. I put some effort doing shading on the skin and clothes but when it comes to hair I usually fail....so....comment please ><

I'll avoid talking about proportions this time and go on to the vector. I reckon too many people are following the shiny hair mark too much. It's so common nowadays. It would be better if you used the space of that shiny part into more shadow and hair lines. Same with the bundle of hair drooping down his neck. The pants, there's another set of things you need to do. Like the hair (which was adding hair lines) except in this case, you need creases/folds. The pants being like that is quite weird, it looks as if it's a transparent portal out to space or something. Look closely. Work on making it 3D more.
Oh yeah! Something to keep in mind. When you draw a picture. Draw a circle somewhere on the page, doesn't have to be too big but that will indicate that source of light. You could draw more than one but having one will make it effective. Once you've mastered one light source, try with 2.
