o_0 I was rather unsure about whether or not I should submit this vector because it's somewhat unique for the FFAC gallery and it's the first time I've tried doing anything quite like it. That said, any criticism is appreciated.

Regarding the vector itself, it was not based on any screenshot. I saw this really cool magazine scan on adventchildren.net of several new Playarts figures... :nya: I'm such a nerd...but here's the original image. I /TRIED/ to make him look less like a doll and used several screenshots as color references.

I have no idea how long it took me to make because finals got in my way, but I typically worked on him for 4-6 hours every day I got a chance. Other than that, he consists of 140+ layers. :pacman:

Impressive! While most vectors are bright, sharp, cute & shiney this isn't afraid to blend many shades of lighting & shadow. I recognised it straight off as the new figure, and I have to say you've captured the likeness very well. Sure, it looks rough comapred to most vectors, but most vectors aren't based on 'real life' figures or attempt such a sense of depth. Great work!

neat vector, I like the vexel-ish style, though I'm not too fond of the jagged shading on his upper left leg...

and it's really small... hard to see the details...
