Made for a friend. and me too, haha.

Recently I've been unhappy with my painting skills but had no real inspiration to improve.
When I checked the Smash Bros site and saw the new stage, I was like, omg that's my new wallpaper. But it was so small. T_T So I decided to repaint it, making it also the perfect opportunity to work on my more technical painting skills.

Painting the bridge itself was absolute evil. bah! but everything else was surprisingly fun.

More resolutions:

1600x1200 (If you want it I could get it to you by email. I have a grudge against ImageShack)

I'm surprised that you were able to paint this from that screencshot. *_* I mean this really turned out better than from the image I saw of it.

You really captured the scenery here and your painting skills are way better than mine. >:D You really carved the edges of the log and it really has quite some details. :D

lol! I saw kirby! Reminds me to buy the Super Smash Brawl from Wii. :)

You nailed the atmosphere and the light down, but the fine details just aren't there - the sky is especially rough, too. It just isn't refined enough and as they say, the devil is in the details.
