Haibane Renmei is of my favourite series. It was only a matter of time to make a wallpaper out of the series :)
I've been working on it for a few days now and worked quite a lot on it. The background is a stock photo a friend gave me. I used lots of filters and smudged some areas. The scan was not that hard to work on but it took it's share of time.

Agreed, the bg brings the wall to life. My one complaing is that, while the bg seems more 3D, the scan of the girl is more 2D, making it slightly...surreal I guess? However, I like the stark contrast of bright to dark. Even though the windows take up half the wall, their positioning gives the wall a nice asymmetric composition. Nice wall ^^

It's very beautiful. Everything looks so old and the lightening effects are great. A fav for sure, keep it up! Lol, at first, when I saw the thumbtail at 'recently submitted art' I thought it was L. (from Death Note) XD

Awesome! I really liked the dark atmosphere and also that light comming from the window...
Good job with the stock photo, I thought it was a scan... haha! Seriously, the whole wallpaper is awesome, thanks for sharing ^^
