I came, hunting for proof that Yoshitaka Amano was as awesome as they say. I found aplenty. :o
Love the textures, the details, the inky lines, the faded out colours that help the black contrast so.. There's a whimsical Japanese style here, with the lazily curling wisps of smoke, yet a Western style is also clearly shown.. Art Noveau anyone? Love the watercolours... Makes me think of this find of mine, a picture storybook about a little French schoolboy.. Only Yoshitaka Amano's style is definitely not as innocent. :D
Is the Vampire Hunter D really this gorgeous? I never watched it, read it at all.. ^_^'

I prefer Doris in this art that in the anime, just my opinion though. They look better here together than with the anime one. XD
