I do like ur idea, and this could have been an amazing piece. but I'm very particular with clouds and how they're drawn. since the image which u vectored pretty well, is very sharp, it contrasts too much with the soft poofy clouds. I would have loved it if it had more depth and have a more definite shape. thats just my opinion though, I'm not good at drawing clouds that much either. good job anyhow.

So here is a new wallpaper
Story:
This is taken from a music clip "On You Mark" by Chage & Aska animated by Hayao Miyazaki, it's very
short but he manages to create a great story, more details here. And one of the scenes caught me attention...
Technical:
The vector has been made from several screenshots to improve the quality of the source, therefore it's was quiet
hard. The wings are a bit different and I'm not totally happy with the feet. Screenshots: [1] [2]...
The sky is from the same screenshot as the other but I blended it and added some filters to it.
The text is hand made in Illustrator since I couldn't find the font that suit me on resource site, so don't
ask me for the font because it doesn't exist for other letters than Fly :p
Numbers:
Time taken on vector: about 4-5 hours
Time taken on the rest: about 2-3 hours
All this have been made in a weekend long
Software:
Illustrator CS2: Vector and the "Fly" text
Photofiltre Studio 9: signature, blend and final render
Additional version for wide screen available here
Comment and criticisms are welcome, and of course FullView it :)

Unlike ventures, I don't have a problem with the softness of the clouds- but there are 2 things that need to be taken into account- one is the lighting. The clouds are seemingly lit on the right, wheras the girl is lit on the left.
The second thing is perspective- the clouds are looked at front on. I guess it's kind of awkward to have a girl front on and flying at that angle- I guess it's more natural to assume we are looking at the underside of the girl and clouds ;) If you look at the lighting of the girl, it kind of is the underside (dark centre, with highlighted edges) - but then the hair would need to sort of flop down (or on the wallpaper, flop "out")
I also kind of wish the text was moved down to the vertical centre and given more of a focus, rather than put to a corner, because it's such pretty and beautiful text T_T <3But this is great quality, and lovely concept! <3
