Belive me ore not, finding a name for this one was the herdes ting of all. First I was timking of someting like Summer Flower's Farytale but then I remembered this beautifull song and I just had to give it that name. I know that in Westlife's song, there was more of a spring atmosfere, but I rely loved this name.
Now, lets star the description, shall we? Even if the name is "Seasons in
the Sun", the song that I wished it to represent was "Towa no
Hana" (Flower of Eternity) By Ishida Youko ~opening theme for Ai yori Aoshi~and this is the way I saw the
song.

Now. Let me see. Making the girl tok me exactely a day. i found the scan around MT now about 5days ago and I started vectoring it. I rely had fun. But then, I wonted to make a wallpaper of it. Wen I was coming back from school~last day (I ended witch a very big grade: 3th in my class and wery cose to the other 2 ~ next year will be better hopefuly) I saw a sunflower bloom. Instat idea. ^^
Nextthing I knew it I was searching the net for Sunflower images. Only problam was, I could only find photose and not anime/manga sunflower pictures. How could I vector those.
Well, eat first I did all I could with them, but they semed too pourly ~with only 2 shades~ so I addes my own touch o then ~from 2 to 4 colores~ and this is was I got. Still, the flowers kiled me. It took me 2 day to make them. My mousepad shal never be the same (and it seames neather will my mouse). Then, wile brousing around deviantArt I fouls some awsome pics with butterflies. I loved them Next stop in the procedure: wector them. You can see I was wery carefull with the datales on the loveres and the buterflies ^^ but after sutch hard labor, my patience reached 0 and Istill had to make the grass. But I whas shaved by Photoshop (and my will to carry on).
Lastly, I felt like adding a strop of magic to it all, and since I had no more patience in vectoring water drops (by intention) I was saved by mystify at deviantARt and the stock magic brushes she/he made (can't remember mystify's gender, gomen).
Well, that's all there was to it. I worked a lot, and I made wast you can see. Still, I wile it lasted I hade the time of my life. But after I took a look it it ... (this hole thing took me over 100 layers ~ merged down ones counted) ... I promised myself too take my next work to a lover lever. But after I made this, I don't know what a "lower laver" is enymore.
Well, that's kinda all about it. I made it in 4 days and it took a few eyars of my life, but it was vell worth it.
Last, but not least, I decided to enter with it at the "Batle of the Bands" competition at Vectory, so, here's a new sunmision for the admines there.

So bright, so beautiful, do delightful, and so seasonal!
It is a breath of fresh air to see an vector that isn't afraid to bend and flow and crease and look organic. While most vectors are content to have clean cut line work, here's a perfect mix of curvy, bendy lines with a total abandonment of line work, that lets the colours speak for themselves. The loss of lines in the background creates an additional sense of freedom in the field of sunflowers.

Wow! The vectoring is really well done and the colors are fabulous! I wish the clouds were a bit more defined, and I feel you should remove the texture from her shirt, but other than that, really well done!

It's so well done! Yeah, the texture on her shirt looks a bit odd, maybe if you lower the opacity it would look better.D: and I also would remove that strange wind across the butterflies..those are the only things that stop making this wall look perfect.

Simply beautiful! The textures on her shirt, I don't mind actually. Although I was expecting the sunflower's black parts(err?) have some details, but they look plain. And like Chloe said, the clouds can be defined more, like add some outlines on them and smudge a bit. And the swirly thing doesn't quite match the wall.
But overall - the petals, the girl, the butterflies, the summer atmosphere - are just simply clean and pretty. Great job!

Overrall such a nice concept and no outlines for the background was a good idea (except for the basket and the girl). You know you have my fave.
