Artist Comment
Well, this time it's featuring Tsukimiya Ayu from Kanon. :)
In this picture, I tried to bring up a melancholic mood, which I tried to bring with an empty boulevard on the background. Somehow it seems capable of bringing the 'loneliness' theme, so I used it here.
Ayu's image was taken from scan; here I placed it a little to the right to expose the background. It result in the look of the empty street behind her; an aspect which I like quite much in this wall. :D
The next steps are messing up with lighting and shading. Added them mainly on the BG, and a little in the FG in order to capture a 'lonely' moment.
As a finishing touch, I applied an oil-painting style here, with the canvas texture added for the finishing touch. This is done in order to give off more 'serious' aura, which really suit the idea of the wallpaper -- something that only few anime-like artwork can give, IMO. ^^

I like the canvas effect. Like Yui, I think the background is a bit blurry but that's personal preference. The mood is great ^-^. Fave from me :D.
