Okay, let's pretend that Rukia wallpaper I submitted never happened and look at this one.
I got the scan here at MT and thought she was ungodly cute. She begs the question: how do you end up on a beach wearing nothing but a sarong and tan lines?
I painted he water, sky, beach and island, and added the polka-dots to her orange sarong. She was a simple extraction (I have a wall on my hard drive that is waiting to be finished purely because of the pain in the butt extraction).
The water was HARD, and I'm still not entirely satisfied with how it turned out. I do like the sand. I thought the clouds turne out really pretty. The birds are, of course, brushes, as is the spray on the waves.
Whatcha think? Since this one is painted, my next wall is going to be vectored.

The scan has some sharp edges though. The sky is nice, but I think grey for clouds' shadow is a tad weird. Maybe dark blue works.
The sea is nicely done too, but on the distant part, it looks plain. And there're lots of sparkles on the front which aren't necessary. The shore is abit smudgy btw. :\ -

The clouds are just wonderful!I hope to see more of this kind of work on MT. Honestly, most of the wallpapers lack the effort of making something entirely by oneself. I know how vexatious the paint-style designing can be.
Hmm, and one more thing - I wonder how did this sarong thing happen :D
Maybe she recently became a naturist? Anyway, it's a very good piece of work. -
