S.U.G.O.I. desu!
Wow. It looks awesome! I simply loved the background and the frame you've mentioned in your description.
And although you say he's a polite Gentleman, he does looks completely androgenous!
But this is the impression of a person who hasn't read the manga. Perhaps I could change my mind after reading it,
right?!
Congratulations! The work is awesome. High Quality! +++ fav!
Bye... :)

Para'Desia
A term derived from the title Bird of Paradise, it appears fitting in
consideration to the magnificent, albeit mythical bird that rests on Count D's forearm. A follow-up in contrast to Raison D'etre's melody of blues, this here work presents it's self as a collaboration
of deep magentas and rich burgundies. Concerning it's self mostly with fusion colour explosions and texture layering -
this appears as another piece I'm very pleased with and thus the second artwork instalment in the Petshop of Horrors wallart gallery.
Again we see Akino's prowess with ink, pencil and watercolour in this inspiring illustration of Count D which presents
it's self as the primary art component. Its selection from Akino's artbook as a base medium comes about from Akino's
personal Pet Catalogue post script notes that she penned at the end of Volume 1 and I quote: This is Count D. I tried to create him in the "Mysterious Reijin" style, (ha ha) but he just got more
and more weird.
['Reijin' means: 'Lady']
And also for inspiration, the words of Detective Leon Orcot during the first episode of the OVA series wherein he says
something to the effect of: "You can drop the Dragon Lady/Madam Butterfly act
now...." Thus I believe that this particular Akino illustration thoroughly encompasses that Mysterious Madam
Butterfly effect she so much wished to hone during the progression of her beloved manga series.
It's true; the infamous Count D is at first glance an androgenous character, certainly. However it takes a few moments
of attention before you realize that what you're actually dealing with when in his presence is in fact an educated and
dedicated Chinese gentlemen whose eccentricities can be forgiven....maybe. ~__^
I'd also like to draw attention to the work's boarder frame which appears again in a new style and selection of complimenting colours as it did in the last.
Enjoy it! :)
