Acrylic on canvas. 30 in. x 30 in. 2007.

I present to you Infidelity of Itsuki. Inspired by the character Itsuki Kisaragi from RahXephon. Though I admit that it is not often I paint male faces, I thought this character to be a good match, still fitting the same vice, and the design of his face lent itself quite well to what I wanted to achieve. But I will leave the interpretations to the viewer.

You can also read more about this piece on my blog (mentisworks.org), in this post.

P.S.: I have updated the image with a higher quality rendition, and I believe the colors are more accurate now.

    Awesome lighting!

I really love the expression on her face as well- but in particular I really like the black against the colour. It makes this so strong XD

As misa pointed out, really strong color and shading work. Though i think this piece is less moving than the female version. Especially since the guy has this kind of evil smile on his face, it's more like he's saying "i'm a cheater and i don't care !"...
One thing as well, his lips... they're only there in the middle part, even though his smile extends on the side (and they're not there... if you see what i mean ^_^'). But otherwise, it's quite a nice job, his eyes are really 'haunting' !

    Thumbs up :D

I like his confidence , he seems a bit arrogant though, His blue eyes are amazing ! A very good painting!

Uh-oh. Look at his right eye! Amazing shading :o
This character reminds me of someone from Saint Seiya... but I can't figure out well who ^_^'
You're very skilled with acrylics, thumbs up for Mentis!

I liked this one, too ~ mainly because of how you managed to portray the emotion of the character. That's not a thing many artists I've seen can do.
