Personal scan
New category!
From the artbook, "RESET" by Kunie Kanbara.
There was a beautiful book on the shelf of Kinokuniya and I walked past it every time. It was a real mystery to me: what was inside, that is. The price tag said the words "best seller" on it.
Finally I have this artbook now- I got it from my friend for my birthday which
is in a few days' time
It was a really beautiful surprise to me: if you look at the details, you will realise how lovely the technique is: coloured pencil, scanned in, and then using a computer all the block colours and outlines are blocked in. All gradients are done with soft pencil. The composition of each page and the sequence of images were also very special.
So because of the special composition, I have left some empty space (not all) so
you know where the empty space is located: you can then crank up a blank canvas
in portrait and see what it looks like for yourself
PS: I haven't forgotten the Ai Yazawa scans... I've just finished scanning them today and they will come soon- probably tomorrow, or the day after.
PPS: It's really hard to choose from this artbook what to submit to Minitokyo.
There are a lot of "repeated" images in the sense that they have a few
differences and such. I guess I'll slowly submit what I feel people would enjoy
... and to make you all wait for them ;D

Out of the whole serie of scans, i think this one is the best. But all of them are good, they have this calm and soft feeling around them (power of the color pencils ?).
Thanks for sharing, and happy birthday as well
Naturally this piece also emphasizes the feeling of serenity. And of course the joy of music. Though I am not such a music fanatic that I have headphones on all of the time (unlike some others I have seen), I can certainly relate to this emotion. I think we all probably can. The yellow background lends this further strength.
